Join us for an unforgettable evening of painting, wildlife, delicious bites & shopping—all set against the stunning backdrop of our bear sanctuary. Hosted by the American Bear Association, the Paint a Bear event is the perfect way to enjoy nature while creating your own bear-themed masterpiece!

Schedule of Events:

Tickets: $65 per person (Ages 18+ only)

Our artists Bio:
Denise Jaunsem grew up in the Chicago area in a family of artists. Always surrounded by art, she took up art making at a young age. She studied painting and interior design at the University of Illinois and has taken many workshops and classes of continuing art education.
Two years before Katrina Denise moved to New Orleans and then moved to Austin Texas due to the flood. She sold her home in Austin right before Covid and downsized to a travel trailer. She is now a part time Texan, heading north in the summer to work in places like Yellowstone National Park and the Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary.
In her travels she loves to explore the diverse landscapes and wildlife. Nature is her primary source of inspiration. She works with photography, acrylic, watercolor, and mixed media to interpret what she sees in varied styles from contemporary realism to abstract. She enjoys teaching art paint parties, helping people learn that painting can be fun and you don’t have to be an “artist” to do it.
