"CUB" CAKES RECIPE

Your class will love making and eating these "cub" cakes. These would be a delicious treat at the end of your bear unit.

     Ingredients for each child:

     1 cupcake
     1 tablespoon chocolate frosting
     2 chocolate wafers for ears
     2 mini-chocolate chips for eyes
     1 Hershey kiss for nose

Give each child a plastic knife, and instruct them to spread the frosting on top of the cupcake. They should place the cookie "ears" on each side, at the top, and place the "nose" and "eyes" in the center of the cake. If desired, you can let them make Kermode bears (white phase black bears) by using a vanilla cupcake, vanilla frosting, and vanilla wafers for the ears. The eyes and nose will be the same as for the brown bears.
